Some may even argue whether a True AI should be digital or analog. This question arises easily because the answer to that is not that simple and needs quite deep philosophy, most though prefer to never go so deep, but yet dream about creating a True AI. True AI should be digital, but not because of representation of numbers or such, as numbers are not the most basic things in nature. True AI should be digital because there is some very basic thing in nature which is digital because of its essence -- a network. Network is everywhere where some well-formed entities are connected with clear connections, no matter whether the processes which formed them are analog or not. Human knowledge is certainly a network, as there are well-formed notions and clear connections between them, therefore human mind is able to form a network, the fact that this network is changing based on that network itself, means that thinking is in essence digital. Therefore a True AI which should simulate human thinking, should be digital as well.
This is only one of the reasons to consider that network is the most basic structure of human thinking, but that above was only written to express some general idea.
